4/4/2011 My First Log...Blog...Log...whatever!

Ok here goes, my attempt at a blog. A Geocaching blog, since I seem to spend most of my life planning, creating, thinking about, travelling to and back from and doing geocaches with my totally obsessed husband.

We've been caching for nearly two years now. It all started with McBee.....

Ian and I had just returned from our magical wedding in Cuba, July 2009. We were very happy and content just to be in each others company.  McBee gets in touch to offer up her congratulations and tell of her exciting new hobby.

'Oh yeah, what's that then?'
'It's called Geocaching, it's like a treasure hunt where you use GPS....'
'What's GPS?' I ask innocently, my world changed that evening.........

Please note the loving, cuddly warmth with which I snuggle into my new husband. This was our very first cache.

Traditional Cache Chinese Whispers by elephantman (GC1E9XA) This cache is currently resting due to the construction of the new University of the West of Scotland. It is still one of the sneakiest hides we have ever found.

Later that same evening
Traditional Cache Mind the horses by thewilddogclub (GC15HDZ) and I think we even picked up our first TB here.

Had I looked closely I would have witnessed my glaring mistake that evening as I stared into my husbands eyes...not the warm deep glow of love, but a feverish building of excitement due to the seeking of treasure, albeit plastic, still treasure, hidden for the boy within my husband to get positively giddy about.

It was our first ever geocaching trip, the shame of it, she (McBee), even got my children involved! Little did I know then the impact that searching for tupperware would have on my family........I still blame her for the crumbling state of my fledgling martital bliss.

The very next day we had a name
